The student of NIS Karaganda accepted to Johns Hopkins University

12th grade student of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Karaganda city Adina Jailova received an invitation to study at Johns Hopkins University .

Johns Hopkins University is the first research university in the US, and today it invests more money in research than any other academic institution in the US. It is also recognized higher education university that become as the first institution in the US to combine teaching and research. Nowadays there are 27 Nobel Prize winners among the graduates of the university.

Johns Hopkins University regularly ranks among the top 10 universities in the US and is also globally competitive, ranking 24th in the QS World University Rankings (2023). The acceptance rate for the university is 6.5%.

Adina is planning to study Biochemistry at John Hopkins University.

– I will have the opportunity to choose a major by the end of the second year. But I also plan to get a PhD in order to contribute to the development of science in Kazakhstan.

Adina also accepted to such universities as University of Pittsburgh, Michigan State University and Northeastern University.
