The round table talk on “Prospects for the development of tourism in Karaganda region”

December 6, 2018 according to the framework of the subject month of the Social science Department, the round table talk on “Prospects for the development of tourism in Karaganda region” was held in the library of Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Karaganda city.

The 12 D Grade student ,Tamila Kuanysheva, English and Global Perspectives teacher Ainur Aliyeva, and public figure and traveler, deputy director of tour company Nomadic Travel Kazakhstan – Vitaly Shuptar took an active part in the discussion about the development of tourism in the region.

During the conversation, a review of the current state of tourism in the region was made . The problems which hinder the successful development of domestic and foreign tourism, as well as ways to solve these problems were identified. The speakers noted that there are a huge potential in the development of eco-and ethno-tourism in Karaganda oblast which are currently priority areas in the development of world tourism in general. The foreign tourists come to Kazakhstan precisely to get acquainted with the national customs and traditions and visit natural and historical monuments.

Students were actively involved in the talk, and their genuine interest in the topic of discussion was noticeable. They shared their ideas and thoughts, and asked questions.

In conclusion, the participants of the round table talks expressed their hope that in the nearest future tourism will be actively developed in Karaganda oblast and that might contribute to the growth of the economic potential of the region. Speakers were awarded with letters of appreciation and memorable gifts.
