The sixth annual conference NISK – Model United Nations was held, organized by the MUN school club represented by students Diana Gubaidullina ( secretary general), Adil Shayakhmetov and Darina Manenova (committee chairs). The conference was attended by 23 students of grades 7-11, among whom were students from such schools as BIL, gymnasium No. 93 named after Shikarim and gymnasium No. 39 named after Magzhan Zhumabaev. During the Model UN, the participants discussed such topics as “The escalation of the Turkish-Kurdish conflict” and “Acceptance of world refugees.” The winners of the nominations were Sabina Aitbekova, Sabina Karimova (best delegate), Aruzhan Koshekbaeva, Zhansulu Karimzhanova (honorable mention), Daria Kalinina and Insar Abylkasov (best position paper).
During the participation in the conference, students had the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, as well as the skills of public speaking, teamwork and critical thinking. Participation in the Model UN allows students to broaden their horizons and share experiences with each other.
