In the national culture of the Kazakh people, “Shanyrak” has a great symbolic meaning. It is a symbol of a house, a home, a continuation of the clan, therefore it is not by chance that Shanyrak is depicted on the emblem of modern Kazakhstan. Shanyrak was a family heirloom, passed on from generation to generation, “kara shayyra” of the father’s yurt was revered by sons as a shrine. Shanyrak is a symbol of unity and happiness.
Created in Nazarbayev Intellectual schools, school communities “Shanyrak”, through which the team spirit among students is brought up. The main idea of introducing the “Shanyrak” community is the relationship of students of different ages, the care of the elders over the younger ones.
Shanyrak is a small community in the school life that allows students to feel the team spirit in the team. Two different age classes are united in Shahira community (12 and 9, 11 and 8, 10 and 7). Each community of “Shanyrak” has its own distinctive signs – emblem, motto, color and coordinated by the curator.
